question about tram/metro from Smichov station

hi, we%26#39;ll be arriving prague from warsaw early (7am) saturday morning by train (at Smichov station) and we%26#39;d like to take the tram or metro to our hotel (close to metro Andel station.)

1. i%26#39;m wondering if the tram and/or metro runs early saturday morning. if so, which line should i take?

2. we%26#39;d like to buy tickets from prague to vienna... can we do that at the Smichov station or do we have to go to Hlavni nadr?

thanks!

should have no problems at that time of morning, trams start a lot earlier than 7.00 am.It is only about 2 stops on the tram, not sure which numbers but I think they all go to Andels but will check later today unless a local can give you the correct details.

Metro runs every day from 5:00 AM to midnight.

There is metro station right under Smichov train station and it%26#39;s one stop to Andel metro station from there.

Metro B direction to Cerny Most. Only one stop from Smichov to Andel.

I think you can buy the ticket at Smichov station. Just try.

I bought a train ticket to Bratislava at Hlavni Nadrazi but my train left from Holesovice.

So I guess you don%26#39;t have to buy the ticket at the station from which the train leaves. And anyway, doesn%26#39;t hurt to try to ask at Smichov. :)

Thank you everyone for your input! Since our hotel reception desk won%26#39;t open until 8.30am, we%26#39;ll have roughly 1.5 hours free time (with our small luggage). Any suggestion on what we should do early morning? I was thinking of going to the Charles Bridge cuz it might be nice and peaceful at that time. If you think there%26#39;re other places that are worth visiting early in the morning, I%26#39;d love to hear about it!

Thanks :)

ps: any suggestion on a good cafe for breakfast would be appreciated too!
