Brewery tour

We%26#39;re just back from Krumlov where we took the tour of the old Eggenberger brewery. It was February and everyone who showed up for the tour spoke German and not English, so we missed most of the tour guides jokes (luckily I know enough German so that I got the one about her being fired by the Soviets because she liked beer, but has gotten the upper hand by being rehired). But she gave us an excellent printout of the tour in English which was a good history of Krumlov as well. We opted for the all inclusive tour, two half-liters of beer, and choice of anything from the restaurant menu. I ordered the whole half duck rather than the quarter to get my money%26#39;s worth and be able to share with my husband, and it was delicious. The experience of sitting in the restaurant/beer hall was wonderful, and I suggest a corner table in the back up a few stairs for a better view and to avoid much of the inevitable smoke. If you like beer be aware that only the first half liter will be brought, and you have to ask for the second, which is free anyway. It would have cost less to order from the menu rather than pay the whole amount. Our son loves beer so we wanted a T-shirt for him, which was only available in the little bar before you enter the restaurant building; it still reeks of the cigarette smoke from the customers (locals who were there drinking at 10:30 AM.

How long did the tour last? Sounds fun, but we only have a day, so I don%26#39;t want to spend a ton of time there.

Sorry to hear about the food being so bad in your other post! Were you in Prague? If so, did you enjoy the food there? Just curious since we are heading out in a few months.
