Prague to Brno

Could someone tell me how to get from Prague to Brno by train. Ta!

- ignore the trains that go from Hlavni nadrazi (main station) during the day - they take an hour longer.

There are regular trains from Holesovice, all Eurocity trains, and it takes about 2 hours 40 minutes, but if you want to get there earlier there are loads of trains from the main station in the early hours. There is no real value in getting the 8.30 am %26#39;pendolino%26#39; - it only takes 10 minutes less and costs twice as much. The normal 2nd class fare is 240 Crowns, 1st class 360 Crowns (worth the extra outlay).
