i%26#39;m travelling to Prague for easter and am staying at the 987 Hotel near Hlavni metro station, can anyone let me know the bus and metroline to take to get here?

Hlavni? Do you mean Hlavni nadrazi?
If so, you get the bus 119 from the airport (look at all the other threads about this) to Dejvice. From Dejvice metro get the green line direction Hostivař (the only one) to Muzeum and change to the red line direction Ládví one stop.

Bus no 119 from the airport, then metro line A to station Mustek, exit to Vaclavske namesti, then go to tramway station in the street Vodickova - tramway no 9 and get out at the second tram station Hlavni nadrazi (Main Station) - on this station go back about 50 metres - your hotel is on the corner of the Senovazne Square. This is the shortest way.

Alternatively you could take the Airport Express from the airport (it costs 45 CZK, tickets may be purchased at the driver) to the metro station Nadrazi Holesovice and then take the metro (direction Haje) for 3 stops to Hlavni Nadrazi. This would be a little bit more expensive than previous posts (you have to buy the seperate ticket for the Airport Express and a ticket for the metro which costs 18 CZK) but the journey would be faster and much more comfortable, especially if you have luggage.
