Recipe

Hi,





My grandmother used to make a Czech dish that has Uzeny (which in english she said it is smoked tenderloin) - it is a ham/pork. And it was made with egg noodles.





I know the name of it, but I can%26#39;t spell it - and without the spelling i can%26#39;t google it. The name of it is something like %26quot;flitshy%26quot;.





Does anyone happen to know the correct spelling??

You most probably mean SUNKAFLEKY (or SUNKOFLEKY) :-). See description %26amp; recipe





The common word is %26quot;sunkafleky%26quot; - shunka fleky or shunkafleky



sunka (with cirkumflex on %26#39;s%26#39;)= ham (pronounced: shunka)



fleky = small pieces of half inch wide nudles, but cut into half-by-half



squares (bakes somewhat better than when nudles are left long, but shoud



not be mare then about an inch long, so that sunka and nudles can mix



well).



When prepared, slices of ham are also cut into about half-by-half



squares.



Mixed and put into a cassarol, and pured on with egg beeten in milk and



baked till the water evaporates (when done, the remaning moistened mass



has a little browny top).
