Hello all, we%26#39;ll be staying in an apartment at Hotel %26amp; Residence Standard, Rasinovo Nabrezi 38, Praha 2 for 4 nights in early June (before travelling to Budapest to take a river cruise to Amsterdam) We will be eating %26quot;out%26quot; at times but I would also like to make use of our kitchen. Are there markets, fresh fruit and vegetables easily available in this area? It will be our first visit to Prague.
Thanks, Meg

well, can you find fresh fruit and veggies in Paris, Berlin or Rome? the answer is of course yes. small vietnamese shops, supermarkets. All around the area and anywhere in Prague.

Thanks for the reply, you seem to know the area well, any particular restaurant suitable for both vege and meat eater?
Thanks again, Meg

Not the best area for markets. There is a big Tesco at the Novy Smichov mall across the river at Andel. Maybe there are some small corner markets in the neighborhood off the busy main road.
There is a great restaurant around the corner on Plavecka called Oliva -- a little expensive, but very nice:

Next to it is a pretty good Asian place -- not too expensive and a few veg items:

Thanks for your help, I%26#39;m looking forward to this trip so much. Meg
