Train from Prague to Vienna

We are planning to fly to Prague from London on June 27th and wouldlike to take a train to Vienna then on to Switzerland. There are four adults (22 yrs - 56yrs) traveling. Does anyone have any suggestions as to finding the best fare on planes and trains? I am checking out skyscanner for airfares.

Thanks.

Trains are the best for such a journey - Prague to Vienna is about 4 hours, cost about 32 Euros, which you can buy on your day of travelling.

From Vienna to Switzerland - you didn%26#39;t specify where - there is a direct night train to Zurich, from where you can get almost anywhere. However, if you get the day train it is spectacular when you go through the Alps and is well worth it. Swiss trains are renowned for their efficiency and punctuality, and take some fantastic scenery in on the way. If you fly you will miss all that, and I don%26#39;t think there are any budget airlines that operate on that route anyway.

You can book your tickets straight away when you arrive in Vienna - there is no way of purchasing them on-line, but they cost c. 90 EUR plus, if you want to get the night train, a supplement for a sleeper - less for a couchette (which is like a %26#39;sleeper-lite%26#39;)

Good luck!
