Sieber or Golden Gate Suite hotel

Sieber Hotel or Golden Gate Suite Hotel. Is one in a better position ?

|||

golden gate suites hotel is nearer to the city (about 20 minutes walk from the old town). Sieber hotel is further out but a 10 minute walk from a direct metro link to the city centre

|||

Sieber is in a residential area, which is very nice (well I live around the corner, I love it), there are no tourists and lots of normal restaurants. Metro is two mins away and it takes two stops to go downtown - I usually walk and it takes me 10 minutes.

But for a tourist the location of Golden Gate is better, as it is more central. It is located right on a very busy street, though, so it might be noisy.

Martina. You walk (march) fast down Vinohradska. Takes me 10 minutes from Pavillon to Muzuem which is a lot further down the street than Cafe Sieber

|||

Yes, Peb, you are right, I am very fast. But Sieber is maybe 2 min away from the Pavillon, or is my marching mind too fast again?

|||

Martina. You are obviously a fast woman, as opposed to a stary muz, like me

|||

Stary muz! I don%26#39;t believe a single word....

Thank you both for your help. Do you do tours in Prague? We are going to be there 5 days in a couple of weeks. I looked at Andels and Maximillian Hotel but the Max hasn%26#39;t been getting very good reviews lately.

A number of companies you will see do bus tours of Prague, but being that many of the main sites are pedestrianised (old town square, Charles Bridge and the castle), what you see on these tours from a hot bus is limited.

If you want a private guide tour, people on this forum have commented favourably on Sarka Pelantova, a guide whose website is www.prague-guide.info
