Going to Prague next week and want to eat at Czech restaurants. Is the U Fleku really touristy or is the food good? Is the show worth seeing too? I´m really hooked on this forum, I´ve been glued to the computer for the last 3 weeks!

It is real touristy and the food is ok but better food cheaper elsewhere.
Go to U Fleku for the experience,have a beer and a becherovka and ejoy the accordian music.it is all touristy but great fun.
for a good meal in a Classic Czech Hospoda try U Medvidku.
excellent food ,excellent beer ,excellent surroundings and excellent prices,service is pretty good too.

also have a lok at this website for some great beerhalls,pubs and micro breweries.
U Fleku amd U Medviku are also mentioned in it.

When arriving at Prague airport go to the travel info desk %26amp; you will pay 26ck(under a £1) to go by bus(no 100)this will take you to the end of the terminal.Walk from here to the tube station %26amp;12stops later you come to the end of the line %26amp; in the heart of Prague. By taxi it will cost you 120ck.Tesco is right outside.!Here is where you buy your hot pepper vodka to take home.Cheaper than in the airport.There are a few micro breweries in Prague.Dont eat the pretzels that are on the tables every where as they are 10ck %26amp; are not free.U Fleku has a great atmoshphere,but beware it us not cheap.The waiters will push a beer %26amp; spirit (herbal) in front of you %26amp; you will pay £5.Remember you dont get a full glass of beer anywhere.Its mostly froth.This isnt far from the tube station %26amp; Tesco.Novomestsky is very nice %26amp; serve good food.This is in the New Town.U Vejadu is in the Old Town %26amp; is used by a lot of business men.Food is reasonable here.There is a fab piano bar in Vodikova 36 called Lucerna Music Bar(Old Town)%26amp; they serve great cocktails.Great vibes here %26amp; always full.Its worth waiting for a seat.Rocky O Reillys is a great Irish Bar with big burgers %26amp; of course the big screens.There is a similar big screen pub behind the square where the astronomical clock is.Situated in a narrow alley way which comes out onto a square.If you are with a crowd book for the medievial bankquet.This is called,U SEDMI SVABU.Old Town.For good fun %26amp; cellar bar in the Old Town look for ,The Dogs Bollocks!!!.Friendly %26amp; also great food. For a romantic dinner with good friendly service,go to Rainer Maria Rilke Restaurant.If you want pure elegance,but reasonable prices walk down to the Power House %26amp; onto the square.Look out for Imperail Hotel.They have a cafe where the mosiac celings %26amp; gold is to die for.Check the taps in the toilets!.Enjoy,but dont expect male waiters to be on the friendly side.Plus gone are the days that things are cheap.

U Fleku, is at best very touristy also a real rip off. They charge for drinks you don%26#39;t order. It was rowdy with kids getting drunk and I wouldn%26#39;t go again. Ever!
|||
If there is one place i felt it was disappointing it must be u fleku.
The food was ok but expensive compared to other beer halls and i didn`t like the beer which is also expensive. I know the history behind the name U Fleku but when you go in it just feels like a well maintained tourist trap.
Everywhere else would be better

Someone just recomended U SEDMI SVABU
We had a really dissapointing %26#39;banquet night%26#39;, way too expensive and not a decent show by any description.
