www.idos.cz

should give you most of the info you require.

generally the trains in the Czech Republic as as good or a better standard than many of the services in the UK,prices are a good deal cheaper.

The above is true, but reaching Ladek-Zdroj from Prague is tricky. It is easy enough to get to Nachod by train, form where you can even walk across the border (if it is a nice day) to Kudowa-Zdroj (also a spa town - the word %26#39;zdroj%26#39; is the Polish for %26#39;spa%26#39;)

To get to Ladek you need to get a bus from Kudowa to Klodzko, which is a beautiful and atmospheric little town, and then another bus from there. I%26#39;m afraid I cannot tell you which bus, how long it takes, or where to get it from as I have always driven. I used to live around there on the Czech side of the border so I was a regular visitor - it is well worth it, but the other, more accessible, spas such as Kudowa and Duszniki are just as pleasant, and the water tastes just as disgusting :)

Hope this helps!
