A quick one/two day trip out of Prague

We will be in Prague for 1 week at the end of April. Originally, I was thinking of taking an overnight trip to Cesky Krumlov, but I am not sure, from what I hear, if my husband will find it all that appealing. So, I was re-thinking and considering taking the train to Berlin, which I have seen posts on TA about doing, and the 4 1/2 hour ride isn%26#39;t too bad. Before we finalize, are there any other suggestions for a similiar (no longer) length train ride destination? Also, do you think one night or two in Berlin? We only have one week, and I really do want to see Prague thoroughly, but thought it would be fun to break up the week with a short trip.

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Why would you think that Cesky Krumlov might not be appealing for you? It is so much worth it. Berlin is not far, but a bit too much for one day. You can do Derseden downtown in one and opera in the evening, that is one hour away from Prague.

Or another daytrip in the CR? Check out www.czechtourism.com
