Prague Zoo

Hi

We are staying in the mala strana area over easter, does anybody know how to get to the zoo? Is it worth going, it seems quite good.

The zoo is really worth visiting, specially if the weather is nice. I will take most of the day, and you can also visit Troja Palace and the Botanical Gardens next door.

Getting there is easy, just make your way by metro or tram to Nadr. Holesovice and there take bus 112, to the Zoo, it will leave your right at the door. Go with comfortable walking shoes because it is very big.

There is a bus to the zoo from Holesovice (metro C line)

It`s prety big so go early if you want to see everything. The polar bear is a must!

PS i think there is also a boat ride to the zoo

I have not entered the zoo but been to the Troja Palace next door twice. Once I got there by tram / bus combo and another time took a boat from the city (a bit long but was interesting for once at least, crossed a bridge and a horse race field before arriving the palace.)

A frined of mine who was there last September sent me the following photo message by e-mail using a michine by the entrance of the zoo. This service was free so why not sending a message to your friends or to yourself as a souvenir? My frined is pointing at the Troja Palace.
