What%26#39;s charged for a pint of tapped lager in Prague

today ?

depends where you are.and average price would be 30-40czk,but you will find prices vary greatly especially in the main tourist spots.

on a recent trip the cheapest beer was 21czk in Zizkov and dearest 135czk at the airport,in the catle area 80-90czk was about average, but in most places we paid about 30-40 czk .

Was there last month and didn%26#39;t pay more than 30ck. It depends on where you drink. If you get off the main tourist squares you should be fine.

Check out Unclegus and pivero for recommendations where to go.

as unclegus says, locations is an important factor.

You can still find places with cheap beer right next to a tourist trap, those are the ones frequented by locals.

Apart from location there is what sort of beer you want to have. A desitka (10°balling cca.4%ABV) will always be cheaper than a dvantacka (12°balling cca.5%).

There are the brewpubs, too. There you can pay 48CZK for a pint of brilliant Oldgott at U Medvídku, or 59CZK for 0.4l of jantár (very good, but I like Oldgott better) at Strahov.

A Czech pub will be cheaper than any other place, in general. And those are the places you should go to as the pints will be better.

I always tell people to avoid pubs that will charge you more than 40CZK for a mass produced beer. They are ripping you off, and the pint will be rubbish.

Na Zdraví!
