Reservations Needed U Medvidku & Pivovarsky Klub

Want to eat at both these places while there. Thanks.

I don%26#39;t know about the Pivovarsky Klub, but there is no need to book at U Medvidku.

It is a big place with a couple of main rooms and several other rooms off them.It can get very busy especially at weekends but I have never had a problem.there is often someone on the door who will help find you a table, sometimes have to share but that is all part of the Czech experience.as long as you are not a large group there should be no problem.

If it%26#39;s going in the evening what you%26#39;ve got in mind, then you will need reservations to Pivovarsky Klub, the place is packed every single day of the week.

At U Medvídku, only if you are planning to go upstairs, to the brewery, it is small, and sometimes it%26#39;s fully booked in the evenings.

Here is the webpage http://www.umedvidku.cz/

good luck!

Thanks. If you go for lunch instead of dinner, is it less busy?

for U Medvidku I found saturday lunchtime to be very busy but we still managed to get a table for 3 of us,but that was aboout 1.30 pm.during the week lunchtime was no problem.

Lunches tend to start fairly early (11.30ish),but i have never had any problem finding somehwere for lunch in Prague and food is available throughout the day.

Six of us went to Pivovarsky for dinner in October 2007........no reservations. Very short wait.....don%26#39;t remember what night of the week it was.

Good food, great beer.

Thanks everybody.

You won%26#39;t need reservations for lunch. Specially the Klub, lunch time is usually pretty quiet. If it happens that the place is full (which is really unlikely) you will just have to wait a couple of mins until a group of Czechs finish eating and go back to the office.

Same goes for U Medvídku. But I do recommend you go upstairs, to the brewery, it%26#39;s like stepping into another world.
