Please help me with a hotel - Not long to go!

Please please help, I am searching for a hotel in Prague and go in a few weeks!!

Want something within walking distance of all the attractions and something that is at least a 3*.

Max we want to pay is 80euros a night.

Have read so so many reviews etc and everytime I find one I like, I return to the site to book it and its increased by loads.

Please throw suggestions my way!!

Thanks

80 euro, near main attractions and 3 star? That sounds a bit difficult. You may want to check into U Tri Bubnu. Go directly to their site. They may be 20 euro more, but if you offer to pay in cash I think they may cut you a deal.

I really liked it there and it is literally 15 steps from Old Town Square.

It will be a high season and your date is close (in a few weeks?) so good value for money hotels are harder to find if not impossible. And as above poster said €80 may not give many choices. When you say the %26quot;site%26quot; you mean each hotel%26#39;s site or booking sites?

If you haven%26#39;t done yet, go to a booking site e.g.venere.com. Pick central areas (Stare Mesto, Mala Strana, etc) and see the rates. At least you will see if your budget is enough for the category of the hotel you are looking for.

For a try, I put dates in 3 weeks and got Residence Mala Strana 3* for 98€. I can recommend this hotel. I have stayed there 3 times and many sites are easy walking distance (at least to me). Hotel Standard 3* in Nove Mesto area is cheaper at €74 but I don%26#39;t know this hotel except it is facing the river and slightly less central than R.Mala Strana.

Try the Central Hotel on Rybna. The location is fantastic. The hotel itself is travelodge standard, modern and clean and breakfast is good quality and varied. Iv`e stayed there 3 times and would always recommend.

Oh, sorry I meant go directly to the hotel site for U Tri Bubnu. It%26#39;s a really nice hotel and you cannot beat the location. Don%26#39;t forget - if you offer to pay in cash you can get this for a bit less. The rooms are big and the staff is wonderful.

Check out the Cloister, the price is reasonable, the staff is friendly and the rooms are spacious. It%26#39;s a 5 minute walk from the Charles Bridge and about 10 minutes from Old Town and Lesser Town. I have stayed here more then once and its a great place to hang your head at night.

Try the Golden Stag on Celetna, literally steps from the Old Town Square. Lovely quaint hotel built in 1300s, great bathrooms and breakfasts! U Zlateho Jelena is name in Czech.

Have stayed there 3 times and would recommend it highly.

I just returned from Prague but I went before the prices went up. I stayed at the Hotel 7 Days which was great for 70 Euros for a double.

They have a complimentary breakfast, free internet access plus other nice amenities. Clean. The hotel is between the IP Pavlova metro/tram stops and the Muzeum metro stop, at Wenceslas Square. With these public transportation stops nearby, you can get anywhere in Prague. Some sights, like Prague Castle are a good walk uphill. Public transportation is a must. And unless you have unlimited funds, taxis are not an option. I paid $50 for a taxi ride of only a few miles!

Hi,

don%26#39;t know if this helps, but try Aparthotel city5.

We were there in December, and still managed to walk to all the main attractions dispite the cold.

I have posted review, and it is 6th popular hotel in Prague, so other must share my view.

We booked with venere.com, where you have the added advantage of only paying when you check out.

We paid 44 euros a night, and for this were given a fair sized flat to stay in.

Have a look at their site

and see if it suits, email them at

office@appartamento.cz

Hope this helps in some way,

Jaycine
