Easter trip report part two

The hotel Zlaheto Jelena is situated in an old building with many parts. We had to cross the small courtyard to get to the breakfast room, but it was an exccelent breakfast with nice staff, best I´we had in Prague so far (5th trip).

Now there is time to start the sightseeing. Father in law is very interested in castles and historic places so he is in paradise!

Staying in the centre of old town means you have a longer walk to trams but soon we were up at Pohorelec to start the long walk through the castle complex.

Due to the chilly and rainy wheater we needed to heat up already at the Hrancansky Namesti at a place called U Labuti. Hot wine and hot chocolate (and some beers) did the job. Not expensive for the location.

The St Vitus chatedral is impressing even if you have seen it many times before.

Down at Malostranska we realise its time for lunch so we hop on a tram to one of my favourites, Plzensky Restaurant Andel, smoky and %26quot;real%26quot; but with great food and atmospere. We ordered warious items from salad to pasta to goulas and everething was good. Prices are also very oldfashioned! After the (late)lunch the seniors wants a break and we wizz home for a while.

The evening stint includes a walk to Malostranske Namesti for some light evening food at U Glaubicu. And some planless strolling around in old town.

The seniors and junior call it a day while me and wife take a late night beer at another favourite from before %26quot;U Vejvodu%26quot; as previousley posted here some easter pricing was present and beer was 49czk!

End of day 2

I must comment on this place! They are well known for trying to rip people off. They have a blackboard outside and the beer price is always 29.90 then I saw over Easter 49! Really disgusting, I am afraid more and more places are behaving like this and they are just so stupid to take advantage of visitors in such a way.

Hope they dont do it when the Christmas markets are on!!!
