Easter trip report part one

Time for a new trip to Prague!

This time family style, bringing inlaws in early 60:s, wife and 16 year daughter.

Saturday

Started with transport problems as the winter suddenly decided to strike back here in Sweden, with some minor issues in getting to Arlanda airport.

This time Czech Airlines was chosen. Everything worked perfectly and we arrived ahead of scedule.

The Czedas transfer bus dispatcher packed in another couple in the bus. Their hotel was situated way out beyond Holesovice so we got a real roundtrip of the city.

Our hotel was U Zlaheto Jelena, 50 steps from Old Town Square, a bit upmarket from what I´m used to and very nice.

Urgent need for dinner so we got in to U Staromacek just off Old town square. Good food but a classic set of strange expensive items on the handwritten bill. Have been there before, but this was the last time!

Then an afterdinner walk down to and over the Bridge to take in the magnificent wiew of the castle in floodlights. And then a rest at U Glaubicu on Malostranske nam. Here we got our first sip of Prazdrojs new dark brew %26quot;Master%26quot; wich was excellent. Normal pivo at 27,50.

To be continued...

Very nice report AndersE, I do like flying with Czech airlines and we have always arrived early , something to do with a tail wind so the Captain informed us.

Did you find the hotel noisy ? I have read the reviews and quite a few complain about the noise.

About the hotel...

We had a big double room advertised as 2+1 with a extra bed for our daughter. That bed was noicy!

Wife woke up once or twice due to street noice from late night partyers goeing home. I slept like a log! Inlaws had a double room in the courtyard and didn´t hear a thing!
