First Visit to Prague

We are off to Prague for our first visit and would love to hear from anyone that could recommend a good coach company or would be it worth to hire a private mini bus to take us off for the day.

Any good suggestions for restauranats - pubs -shops.

Would love to hear from anyone that could help.

Many Thanks.

If you do a search for private guides you will get a list of people that do what I think you are looking for.

We just returned from Prague and Budapest yesterday. Had a great trip. The ideal way is to walk all through Prague, it is not too far at all, and if you stop and rest, and eat, and then keep doin it, easily doable in a day. Otherwise there are bus tours that start from the Namesty Republic (Republic square). Martin Tours has a bus and so do a few others, all of which cost some where from 400 to 800 Cz crowns and take you around town. Premiant Tours from the Wencesias Square also has tours. Hope that helps. Unless you cannot walk, my recommendation is to do it on your own through Old Town.
