Horse and Carriage in Old Town Square Prague

Does anyone know what time the horse and carriages are available from in the morning on a Friday in Old Town Square in Prague? I am planning on proposing to my girlfriend while on the horse and carriage ride, I was planning to take a walk early morning along charles bridge and into old town square so that we miss the crowds but don%26#39;t want to get there before the horse and carriages tours start...

Thanks

awwww....I don%26#39;t know about the horse %26amp; carriage schedule, but if that doesn%26#39;t work out, proposing on Charles Bridge early in the morning before the crowds appear is pretty damn romantic too!!

Good luck!

Hi,

That%26#39;s a lovely idea. Can%26#39;t help re: start time but hubby %26amp; I were there 1.5.07 %26amp; at 12 noon, we watched the clock strike, then went directly to have a horse %26amp; carriage ride. It was our silver Wedding %26amp; 12 noon was the time of our marriage.

There was no wait for a carriage %26amp; even tho they only last about 15mins, it was still special; good luck.

Regards

I%26#39;ve noticed them there around 10:00. They could have been there earlier, I just didn%26#39;t notice.

Have you thought about emailing one of the hotels right on the square and asking about horse and carriage ride hours?

I think it starts early as well, maybe 10am. I would email U Prince hotel and maybe see if they know.

If that doesn%26#39;t work out, I would say to change it to the top of St. Nicholas Church. You walk up to the top of the bell tower and you can see a beautiful view of Prague. You can also walk up to the top of St. Charles Bridge for a nice view (into the tower looking part), but it is not as nice as St. Nicholas. The view from St. Charles Bridge looking over to the castle is also very romantic.

I would second the Charles Bridge idea for popping the question - but you have got to get there really early and it is fantastic. If you can get the (future) missus to get up at seven or earlier for a walk, all the better. Likewise (very) late at night when the lights are on, but you might not be able to wait that long :)

That bridge must have seen more than its fair share of proposals, but the %26#39;traditional%26#39; place for doing so is on Petrin Hill in the rose garden (under the mini Eiffel Tower).

Good luck!

Thanks everyone for all your help!
