Trip report - 2nd visit to Prague this time March 12-15th

We spoilt ourselves last time we went to Prague with a luxiourious stay at the La Palais this time we saw a good offer at the Aria Hotel and booked it. The hotel was lovely, great service, an amazingly attentive concierge, good breakfasts and highly recommended. We booked a pick up with the hotel so didn%26#39;t have to think about taxi prices or anything.

Staying around Easter was great, you could feel the whole place gearing up to Easter and we were pleased we went before the actual holiday. We loved the Easter markets and our flat is now full of hanging eggs some real and some of the plastic variety.

We ate some lovely food. Food is very important to us. Mainly we went back to eat at Kampa Park again. We ate on the lovely heated terrace and their steak is simply divine whilst matched with gorgeous views. I%26#39;d go back to Prague just to eat their for the third time.

U Modré kachničky (the Blue Duckling) was an absolute treat. They have two restaurants, we went to the one nearer the castle and sat upstairs where we could hear a live piano being played. If you are patient order an irish coffee after you%26#39;ve eaten it is a whole drink making ceremony in front of you. They do lovely ragout in a loaf, the meat dishes with dumplings are Czech food at its best.

Maly Budha is a very different tea shop and restaurant near the castle. It is a brilliant place just to chill and relax. The ginger and mint tea has a real kick. The food is cheap and nice to have something different.

Hergetova Cihelna is part of the Kampa Park group and it was nice but the food wasn%26#39;t as good as Kampa Park but I guess not as expensive as Kampa Park. It wasn%26#39;t amazing though and I wished we hadn%26#39;t wasted a meal there and gone somewhere with more character.

The food at the fair/market was great. Loved the sausage with horseradish and bread.

Activites. We went on a daytrip to Kutna Hora. It was great, the boyfriend wanted to see the bone filled church and it was an amazing site. Also the art deco chapel at the silver coin factory was beautiful.

A trip up to Petrin Hill was fun, we went twice because the first time nothing was open not even the toilets. The trip up the tower was tough on the knees, the mirror maze was fun.

I%26#39;ve never had any trouble with rudeness or cheating in Prague. Never had to get a taxi though, Prague is so small not sure you really need taxis and the public transport system is good if you can%26#39;t walk.
