Cigarettes

Hi

I%26#39;m going to Prague on 8th April 08 and cannot find out what the latest is on cigarette allowance when bought in Prague and where the local duty is paid. HMRC web site does not mention any limits (there used to be), but airport web sites say that 200 is the limit. I%26#39;m trying to get in touch with customs by phone but they must be out catching criminals ! Would appreciate latest info. Also they are for mum and dad is this acceptable or do I need to take up smoking at the customs hall ?

Many thanks

It used to be 200, but from 1st January this year the Czech Republic came into line with the other member states and you can bring back the usual %26#39;reasonable amount%26#39;. Slovakia is still subject to the 200 limit.
