Where to stay - Advice on hotel

Can some-one advise on good, standard, medium priced (up to £100 per room per night B%26amp;B) hotel accommodation.

Its for two couples in their 50s.

Preferably somewhere within 20 mins walk of old town square. Ideal would be somewhere with charachter in an area with good local bars and restaurants, maybe slightly off the expensive tourist haunts.

Or advise websites to use to get the best deal - coming 3 May for 3 nights.

I would search for your dates on www.booking.com, where you see what is still available and the price, and reviews, pictures, maps etc.

Other websites are www.priceline.com and www.venere.com

http://www.dientzenhofer.cz/index_en.html is a nice pension with charachter located in Mala Strana not far from the british embassy in a building from the 17th century, aprox. 5 minuts walk to famous Charles bridge where you can reach old town square in 10 minuts.

Lots of restaurants in the area as well as pubs. Nice restaurants which are close to the pension:

I really liked the small family hotel called House at the Big Boot which is in Mala Strana. It%26#39;s a short walk to the Charles Bridge and Old Town.

Thomas69, I may be wrong but your post is considered a publicity and not allowed here. I have just reported it to TA so let%26#39;s see what happens.

I really enjoyed www.utribubnu.cz, but I will tell you now. You have to walk up stairs to get to your room, no elevator. It is an affordable hotel steps from the Old Town Square. I loved the location and the people running it.

I have also booked through Venere.com Hotels.com was running a rebate sale, I booked through them last time b/c of the rebates they were offering. i will go check again now and let you know if they are still offereing it.

Yes, they are still having the rebate sale. I put the link above. If that doesn%26#39;t work, search %26quot;hotels.com rebate%26quot;.

Thanks everyone for the pointers. Checked all out and tried to book a number. Struggled as many are full on Sat 3rd May. Eventually got a reasonable price on hotel 987.
