Wedding Companies

Hi everyone,

We are looking to get married in Prague in 2009 and will be using one of the companies that specialise in arranging weddings. There are quite a few posts on TA about Prague weddings but not much about any of the other companies, such as White and Bohemia. I have checked out the websites of all 3 but am looking for some advice, if anyone has some! We will be having a small, civil wedding, with approx. 12 guests.

Does anyone have any personal dealings with any of these companies, or any other kind of advice about picking one to arrange our wedding?

Hello ukztwee, We got married in Prague in July 2007 and used the White Agency who I wouldn%26#39;t hesitate to recommend. We were initially drawn to them because there prices were cheaper but we sent emails to 2 different agencies and there replies were by far the most friendly - they seemed to understand immediately what we wanted.

We also had a small, informal, civil wedding with 12 guests. The staff offered guidance on all the choices - restaurant, cars, flowers, music and photos - and dealt with all of the formalities and the paperwork etc. Their experience really helped; for example we were convinced we didn%26#39;t want an official photographer - we%26#39;re not really a %26#39;pose for the camera%26#39; type of couple - but the agency staff gently persuaded us that we might regret it and found somebody who was very informal and followed us through the day snapping happy moments without any formality at all. Our special day went without any hitches and I%26#39;d say that you could happily trust their advice.

This website is designed for expats but it has a whole section on getting married in Prague which is also applicable to people coming to Prague to get married.

Plenty of people on the expats.cz forum got married in Prague and they can share their experiences too.

We used Best-In-Prague. On the lead up to the wedding, they were fantastic but I felt that once we were there they weren%26#39;t interested. I had a couple of issues with them that I brought up when I came home and they were very rude in their replies so I wouldn%26#39;t advise them personally although I have also heard good reports about them.

I was just wondering if you had decided on which wedding agency to go with in Prague. I too am trying to decide on which agency to go with.
