A friend told me that 2 days was enough, but that doesn%26#39;t seem right. I%26#39;d like to spend 2 days in Vienna and 2 days in Salzburg as well. Any opinions and advice will be appreciated! Thank you!

It`s possible to do it in 2 days but it doesn`t worth it. It`s vacation and not the olympics :D You should pace yourself. Running from one place to another and count every second it`s a way yo have fun (at least for me)
3 nights on the other hand is much better. Maybe you`ll miss a couple of sights but you`ll get to visit all the must-see-places.
If i may i`d suggest skipping one of the three cities (salzburg). Consider that you`ll spend almost half a day just in Schonbrun palace in Vienna.

Thank you! My original plan was to visit just Prague and Vienna, but a co-worker told me that I just can%26#39;t miss the Mozart concert/dinner. Truthfully, I%26#39;d never thought about it before....and I admit I have a slight case of the %26quot;well I%26#39;m there anyway, maybe I can cram it in%26quot; travel syndrome....but I%26#39;d rather not spend most of my time nagivating train schedules. And I%26#39;ll be travelling alone. I guess my question is should I just concentrate on 2-3 days in Vienna?

For my tastes 3 cities in 6-7 days is too much. (Unless you know that you won`t have to oportunity of going there again.)
I went to Vienna for fisrt time 5-6 months ago and spend 3 nights 4 days there. I`m sure i could do the same sightseening in less days but i wouldn`t enjoy it as much.
If i were you i`d skip Salzburg.

Thank you....that helps quite a bit! I%26#39;ll concentrate on just Prague and Vienna.....less time on the train means more time eating streudel!! :)

We spent 3 days in Prague and 3 days in Vienna. That pretty much covered everything we wanted to see without rushing. I would say that depending on what you wanted to see and what you were interested in, would determine the true answer to this question.
