Food, drink and entertainment

coming to Prague 3-6 May. staying at the Hotel 987 in Praha 1.

Been once before and noticed incredible price differences between main tourist area and places just outside. So want to find some local bars and restaurants serving good beer and good food at reasonable proces. The beer halls sound interesting. Also with some entertainment - music, comedy or jazz type.

Any suggestions close to where we%26#39;ll be?

Also anyone know of anything special on over those days (the bank holiday wekend in the UK)

Thanks - looking forward to it.

near 987 try ferdinanda or bredovsky dvur, hlucni koala is also ok.

beer halls with entertainment are for tourists, you%26#39;ll be paying double at least. try u fleku or u kalicha. without music u medvidku for sure...

on my most recent trip (may 2007) we spent a fair few evenings in the local pubs of the Zizkov area which were great fun with cheap food ,great cheap beer and friendly locals and vistors.
