There are actually a lot of really interesting restaurants in Prague, (based on my very limited [one week] time there recently), but if you%26#39;re looking for authentic Czech food that also tastes good, in a casual setting, try The Schveik (spelling?) not far from the Jewish Quarter (Josefov...sorry, don%26#39;t know the street name off hand). It%26#39;s pretty lively, food tastes good, didn%26#39;t seem too full of tourists (though it was off-season). Also, they had the most fantastic beer, Kozel.

Hi There, it really depends on what type of evening you want. There is small restaurant called Rainer Maria Rilke (Old Town)Which has a traditional menu %26amp; the servics is friendly %26amp; good.Very romantic %26amp; not too expensive.Czech food is anything from game to sausages. You wont see chips much on their menus, but you will have potatoes which look like a rosti. They also serve dumplins. They are usually sliced if in a good restaurant. If you want to try a typical piano bar/restaurant try Lucern(Vodikova36).Here is also good food, but packed. There are so many to choose from.Menus %26amp; prices are in English outside most restaurants. Bon Apetit.

If you search here in the top right search box for
birthday restaurant you will find a number of postings with recommendations.
There are a couple of websites with reviews, like
www.praguexperience.com and www.fodors.com and the most comprehensive list of restaurants is at www.czrb.cz . This list shows the average menu prices but has no links to websites.
Some top restaurants are Bellevue, V Zatisi, Palffy Palac, but personally I would go next time for www.umodrekachnicky.cz (the original restaurant, on the left of the website).
www.restaurant-david.cz also gets good recommendations.

Personally I like seafood but I heard a lot of said in Prague good go for eating meat, is it true? Did any FRESH seafoods to serve in Prague or they will expensive than the local foods. I don%26#39;t mind eating local foods at all, if the seafood the main meal in Prague.
I will write it down all the restaurants you all gave me and do the compare, I guess need the reservation before I come to Prague because my birthday on Aug(Sun)!
Oh i just notice I wrote it 500 posts now, maybe I have too much to ask.
cheers
