Ballet in Prague?

Has anyone attended the ballet while in Prague? During our stay the Prague Ballet will perform Swan Lake at Prague State Opera. Would you recommend?

definitely... i go to opera or ballet each time I visit Prague. The venues are very beautiful, splendid in fact and the company of Prague State Opera is very well respected. Swan lake is the old faithful, but if you are more adventurous, there are some really spectacular dance performances.

You can get tickets online and delivered to your hotel (look on this forum) or buy them in advance in the actual ticket office of State Opera.

National Theater has a ballet company as well - www.narodni-divadlo.cz

I see a lot of ballet here, although I haven%26#39;t been for a while. The standard is definitely better at the National Theatre. It depends if you are into ballet, like classical ballet or just want to go to the theatre. If you like modern, but still very beautiful ballet, I can highly recommend anything by Jiri Kylian (a Czech who is the Artistic Director the Nederland Dans Theatre). The programme for the national theatre is below, and a couple of his pieces are coming up.
