Hi,
Sorry if this has been asked before but i have been searching for a good while now and have been unable to find any real info on this topic.
My girlfriend and I are planning on visiting both prague and Krakow in April and flights between the 2 seem very expensive. Alot of people seem to mention that the night train is a good option as cuts out hotel cost and isnt to expensive.
I have, however, been unable to find anywhere i can pre book tickets so my question is how would i go about booking a oneway ticket from Prague to Krakow?( Is it best to wait until i arrive in Prague and then go somewhere and book?)
What are the prices likely to be for 2 people taking the night train preferably with somewhere to sleep, and what type of ticket, cabin would be best?
Any info would be massively appreciated.
Thank for any help!

The cheapest way to get the tickets are in Prague at the main station (hlavni nadrazi) a couple of days before you go, or you could even buy it directly on the train - it is highly unlikely that it will be %26#39;sold out%26#39;. If you are on a budget, get a couchette - a 4-person compartment is more comfortable.
I would be interested to know where to get them on-line, though - any chance of some more information Mr. Polrail?

Yes you can get them on Raileurope, but you will pay a hefty premium. For this journey it is probably best to get them in Prague before the journey - it will not %26#39;sell out%26#39;!

Thanks everyone for your help.
I think i am going to go with the idea of buying the ticket once i arrive in prague.
If anyone has used this train recently can you let me know a rough idea as to what the likely total price would be for 2 one way tickets from prague to krakow and a 2 person sleeper. (also do you think 2 persoin sleeper would be best option for myself and girlfriend who speak no czech or polish
I know i ask alot of questions but just not wanting to underbudget and have to miss things out cos the train cost more than i thought
thanks again for any help

If you are on a budget, I would even get a couchette (lehatkovy vuz/ - 4-bed compartment) - it is not that much different from a sleeper - ok you don%26#39;t get some of the trimmings - but it is much cheaper, and you don%26#39;t get there any quicker. I think the supplement is EUR20 on top of the regular price (EUR29). The sleeper supplement is obviously more than that, but I couldn%26#39;t tell you how much.
