05:00 train to Vienna question

We are looking at taking a 05:00 train to Vienna that leaves from Praha hl.n. (Hlavni nadrazi). Our hotel is close to the Namesti Republiky stop.

My question is will we be able to take a subway from Namesti to hl.n. at 04:30 or so?

OK a little more digging and I see no metro until 5am. But trams and buses run. Can someone tell me which might be easier and quicker?

You could walk - it takes about 10 minutes! Or you could get the night buses 513, 505 or 509 two stops from namesti republiky - that only takes 4 minutes. If you really feel that lazy :) check the times on the bus stop the day before.

None at all - it is the best time to see Prague and is very pleasant. What sort of worries did you think there might be?

Seems like in most cities the area around the train station isn%26#39;t always the best. Never hurts to ask.

No you%26#39;re right - stations aren%26#39;t always the best places to hang around in, but Prague is generally very safe and any criminals will be safely in bed at that time :) You%26#39;ll be fine!
